Become a Professional Dog Trainer Frequently Asked Questions

How does the course work?

This course is completely self-paced and self-graded. By you doing these tasks, we are able to keep the cost of the program low. But never fear! We don’t leave you totally on your own. There are “cheatsheets” which will help you with grading both homework and quizzes, so you’re not totally on your own.

Additionally, there’s a group Facebook group which allows you to interact with your instructor, asking questions, debating concepts, and discussing whatever you think is pertinent to the course and the training industry. The Facebook group is monitored daily, so you won’t have to wait long for a response to your comment. And, there are other students on the Facebook group that you can interact with, providing motivation and support along your journey.

There is no end date to the course, so you can refer back to the material whenever you want to.

How long will it take to complete the course?

This is a hard question to answer, because there are so many variables. However, the technical answer is that the lectures and videos are 71 hours in length. This does not take into consideration how long it takes you to do supplemental reading, homework, and quizzes. You should probably plan on a minimum of six months to do the course right.

Can I make payments on the enrollment fee?

No. Because the course is so reasonably priced, we do not off a payment plan,

This course is self-paced, so you have a lot of flexibility in scheduling. Finally, our course is very competitively priced. Even though the course is reasonably priced, the quality of the education you get through this school for dog trainers is, without a doubt, high quality and  the best bargain in town!

How much does the course cost?

What about learning to train a dog – how do I do that with a remote course?

There are many ways to teach you how to train a dog remotely. Susan is very good at finding out exactly what you’re doing, so she can give great instruction over the phone. We can also use video and web cams through Facebook. Web cams give real-time feedback, whereas video can be used for more in-depth analysis. We also encourage you to find a mentor in your area to help with the practical, hands-on portion of your training.
